perfect drinks for a picnic

Besides these delicious and quick picnic snacks, remember to bring refreshing drinks. To keep the drinks cool, it’s smart to take a cooler or cool bag with some ice packs. This way, the drinks stay cool for a long time!

But which drinks belong at a picnic?

That’s entirely up to you! We definitely recommend bringing bottles of water, as you’ll probably be in the warm sun all day. Water helps you stay well hydrated, which is super important. You can choose to give your water a refreshing flavor by adding fruit, such as lemon and mint.

In addition to water, you might also want to bring a nice wine, a few cold beers, soft drinks, or ready-made cocktails.

What to Take to a Picnic

You don’t need much for a picnic, but there are a few essential things you definitely shouldn’t forget. First, think about where you’re going to picnic. Will you sit on the ground with a picnic blanket, or will you sit at a picnic table? At a picnic table, for example, it’s handy to bring a tablecloth and a cushion to sit on. Here, a picnic blanket isn’t so necessary, whereas if you choose to picnic on the grass or the beach, a picnic blanket is essential.

Besides a tablecloth and a blanket, there are more important items, such as dishes, glasses, cutlery, napkins… and so on!

To make it easier for you, we’ve created a checklist so you don’t forget anything.

PICNIC CHECKLIST

  • Picnic blanket or tablecloth (TIP: put a garbage bag under your picnic blanket so it doesn’t get dirty!)
  • Dishes, glasses, and cutlery
  • Napkins
  • Cushions to sit on
  • Picnic basket
  • Cool bag or cooler
  • Bottle opener/corkscrew
  • Plastic containers for your snacks
  • Garbage bag
  • Sunscreen
